Our family business have me making some of the countries finest traditional lampshades for well over 50 years. Using methods hardly unchanged from those early days we supply residential and commercial customers throughout the UK.
Our business was always based around our shop in Torquay. We pride ourselves on continuing to offer the same friendly, personal service to our customers across the British Isles.

From our Devon workshop we have been producing stunning traditional fabric lamp shades for residential and also trade customers for more than 50 years.
In addition to our handmade traditional lamp shades we have also sourced styles from partner traditional lampshade suppliers from the UK and beyond enabling us to offer the most comprehensive range of traditional lampshades to be found online and throughout the UK.
Our standard range of traditional lampshade shapes are available in sizes including candle lamp shades, table lampshades, traditional standard lamps and also floor lamp shades. All of these traditional shapes can be covered in your own combination of fabric and trim taken from our lamp shade swatch.
Our traditional swatch includes cotton dupion, moire, floral prints and also the finest silk dupions. It is also complemented with fringe, braid, soutache and rope trims. Please get in touch to request any free swatch samples.
If you cannot find your perfect combination of traditional fabric and trim from our own swatch then you can supply your own giving you a truly one off lampshade.
The method used in manufacturing our traditional lampshades has hardly changed over the past 5 decades. A traditional fabric panel is cut and hand stretched over a rigid wire frame, this is then either hand stitched or glued in place and an optional fabric lining then added to the inside of the traditional lamp shade. Finally the traditional shade is finished with a trim top and bottom, we can also add more detail with a piping or fringe finish.
Examples of our traditional lampshades can be found across the UK from residential homes through to hotels, cruise ships, and also National Trust properties.
Traditional Drum Shades
We have recently introduced a new traditional drum shade to our traditional lamp shade range. Our stunning traditional fabric drum shade is a traditional take on the popular modern drum lamp shade.
Our traditional drum shade is slightly tapered and also comes with a balloon lining and single light fitting to retro fit any existing single light pendant.
