Modern Standard Lampshades
Modern standard lampshades also known as hard shades due to the PVC backing that the fabric is laminated to come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and suite both traditional and contemporary floor lamps. Your standard lamp shade can be made in any of our 300 plus stocked fabrics, including Linen, Cotton, Parchment and the finest Silk Dupion.
Our most popular shape of standard lamp shade is the drum. The simplistic shape makes it the perfect standard lamp shade for modern and traditional standard lamps. If considering a drum standard lampshade we offer various styles to best suit your standard lamp, these include our standard drum as well as thin drum, tall drum and French drum.
When considering which size or style of lampshade to choose for your standard lamp we recommend cutting a rough template of the shape to scale, holding this next to your standard lamp will act as a good visual aid to insure your select the correct size standard lampshade for your standard lamp.

Drum Standard Lampshades
Our most popular style of standard lampshade. The drum shape lampshade has been the largest selling shape for a number of years. Our Linen drum standard lampshade is handmade in your choice of 36 exclusive Linen colours and can be lined with an optional metallic lining.
Empire Standard Lampshades
A timeless classic the Empire standard lampshade will suit both traditional and modern styles of standard lamp. Pair our stunning Linen outer fabric with an optional metallic lining in gold, silver or copper. As with all of our customise shades the Empire can be made in your own fabric enabling you to create a truly one off lampshade.
Rectangle Standard Lampshade
Perfectly suited for areas with limited space our rectangular standard lampshade will give a modern look to your interior. Finish your shade with a metallic lining to create a real wow! looking standard lampshade.

French Drum Standard Lampshade
A chic alternative to the drum standard lampshade. The gentle taper of the French Drum makes for an elegant finish to both modern and classic styles of standard lamp. The shallow nature of this shade means it is well suited to thinner styles of lamps.

Our online shade builder lets you build your standard lampshade online with the choice of internal fittings and over 300 fabrics. Choose from Cotton, Linen and the finest Silk Dupions.
Our standard lampshade recovering service is particularly useful if you have a standard lampshade with sentimental value or an unusual fitting. Most standard lampshades that we recover tend to be for lamps that have been purchased abroad. A lot of Asian floor lamps tend to have what is known as an American fitting which in laymen’s terms is a small polo mint hole situated towards the top of the lamp shade.
